Born in Hull, Danny spent time studying in Loughborough & Southampton. He now lives in Hove with his partner and two young sons.
When working on his growing portfolio, Danny can generally be found in one of three places: his Hove studio, out painting in the field or rummaging in a charity bookshop to expand his art library.
Danny Lyon, Brighton Artist
The Stones of Albion is a series of plein air paintings. Time is snatched when the weather and light are just right.
Dedicated to the study of art history and perfecting traditional methods, Danny is inspired by the great painters of old. When working on this collection, he draws on his knowledge of, and admiration for, artists such as Constable, Courbet, Stanhope Forbes and Sorolla.
